Human Evolution

How come that human beings have spread to every part of the world and dominate life on earth? And what happened with all other Homo species that were living side by side with our ancestors. These are questions I will try to explainon these pages.

The first anatomically modern humans appeared around 200 000 years ago. The Omo I and Omo II skulls found close to the Omo river in Ethiopia have been dated to approximately 195 000 years ago. However, the oldest findings of modern symbolic and cultural behavior are much younger and it seems that the tools that the first Homo Sapiens were using changed very litte over the years.
